Ajwain curry, delicious, heavily spiced, rich gravy for new mothers, using a trademark concoction of spices and kokum from the Western Ghats in coconut milk.
Easily digestible with soothing spices, ajwain curry has been on the menu for lactating mothers for centuries in Karnataka. Ajwain is mildly bitter and can be quite overpowering, hence the name! 🙂
In this recipe, we cook the ground spices first and then add the coconut milk to ensure best health. Ajwain curry is usually served with red or brown rice, or ragi mudde.
